Hello!  My name is Ryan Hurd and I am a bladesmith.  I am 16 years old.  This started out as a hobby of mine and has now turned into a full blown business.  I really enjoy forging and bladesmithing is a great way to express myself through art while still creating a usable item.

This is a cleaver.  It is 11 inches long.  It is great for chopping up meat, vegetables, and fruit in a camp kitchen.  It is durable and rugged.  It was forged entirely by me by hand, no power hammers or excessive grinding.  It has been hollow ground and sharpened using Japanese water stones.  It has also been stropped so it has a razor edge.  It is made of recycled spring steel so it is environmentally friendly.

The wooden handle is two toned.  It is mahogony on the bottom and spalted maple on the top.  There are two rivets that join the handle to the knife so it is non-removable.

This knife is a beautiful knife.  It has been polished to bring out the natural speckling of the spring steel.  There is also some choil decoration that was done with a file.  Overall this knife is a must-buy!  It makes a wonderful gift and is a very unique collectors item.  This knife could be an heirloom that you could pass on to your children.

The cost of the knife is $60 which is extremely reasonable for such a nice knife.  As an added bonus I offer free shipping.

A sheath is available for an extra cost.

Thanks for bidding!
