Hello, my name is Ryan Hurd.  I am 16 years old and I am a bladesmith.

This knife was handforged totally by me.  It started out as a truck spring.  After forging the spring down, this knife was formed.  I used traditional blacksmithing techniques with the combination of modern wheel grinders for the final sharpening.  This takes the best of both worlds and produces a fantastic knife!

This is a Spanish style knife.  It is all steel.  The steel has been polished and a beautiful grainy texture has been brought out.  This is a beautiful knife!

The statistics on this knife are: 

1.  Knife length: 9 3/4 inches

2.  Blade length: 5 1/2 inches

3. Maximum blade thickness:  3/16 inch

This knife is a beautiful cutter since the nose is pushed forward.  It is great for hunting.  It also makes a fabulous collectible and a great gift!
