A Real Eye-Opener

Shamrock Shaving's Menthol cream is as sharp as your razor, which is good because you ought to be wide awake before you put a straight razor to your throat. It spreads on smooth and rich, but it gushes out vapors of soul-livening menthol, the mintiest of the mints, and makes your skin tingle. Also, you'll look far and wide for a cream containing real lanolin. Shamrock cream is more than 2 percent pure lanolin, which leaves your face even softer than glycerin alone can make it.

A Great Deal

Last of all, Shamrock's shaving cream is a great deal. I decided to try making my own cream after buying a Moss Scuttle so I could make HOT foam with a badger brush. The drawback was, I was spending about 75 cents each morning, filling the scuttle with enough British luxury cream to make the lather in the bowl both thick and hot. Not only is this cream less expensive -- less than half as much per ounce as Truefitt & Hill or other top brands -- it also produces more lather by weight than commercial creams I've used. Once you dip the brush and start swirling it around your face, it fairly explodes into white, creamy, whisker-enveloping lather, with an even more powerful aroma that opens your nostrils and makes you glad you're a man who shaves with a blade.
