This white glazed ceramic shaving scuttle is an elegant combination of simple form and function, with the soap bowl and the brush receptable combined in the mouth of a normal-sized and -shaped shaving mug. This is an unusual and pleasing design for someone who prefers the smooth lines of a mug to the chunky and irregular shapes of standard scuttles, or who wants extra spill protection. This scuttle would work better with a straight-lofted boar bristle brush than a poofy badger brush. I personally prefer bristle brushes over the badger brushes because they dig into the soap better to make a quick lather with small bubbles. With such a brush this scuttle makes an excellent travel item, especially where the user was standing in limited space and didn't want to spill.

I'll include four ounces of my special scuttle soap. It's not shaped for the soap shelf of this scuttle; you won't find any that is. I designed my soap to be soft, like warm wax, so you can tear off a piece and press it into the shape of whatever mug you use. You can even use the soap to easily stop the drain holes, if you're like me and like the water to stay with the soap. Even though it's soft, my soap isn't made with more water than hard soap. It won't wear away any faster, but it does lather up faster. My soaps have superior long-lasting, drying-resistant lather because of extra glycerin and saponified tallow, and contains bentonite clay for drag-free shaving.
