When choosing a men’s cologne, personal preference is not the only rule to go by. The cardinal rule of wearing men’s cologne is this: Don’t drench yourself. You may love, love, love the fragrance you’ve chosen and want to share it with the world, but the world may not have the same enthusiasm for it. So it’s a good idea to use small amounts of a fragrance at first and work up to a level of scent that’s appropriate. This is especially important in the business world. Remember that a scent that’s right for a night out with your significant other may not be appropriate for the boardroom. Which may not be a bad thing, really, since it gives you an excuse to buy several fragrances to have on hand for different occasions.
