      I am pleased to offer for sale this Grand Victorian Rococo Revival Mahogany & Crotch Mahogany Large Marble Top Center / parlor table with its original shaped marble top and splendid dramatic carvings circa 1860. This early, large table would make a elegant statement in an entry hall or center of a room!This fine table measures 29 inches in height,34 inches wide and 25 inches deep and weighs approximately 80 lbs. The carving details on this table are lovely!

   We believe this table to have its original finish on the rich mahogany wood and the shaped beveled edge white and grey veined marble top to also be original. The marble is in fine antique condition with only a few small rim chips on the bottom rim and one bruise spot which I have tried to show all these in close up pictures. The turtle shaped marble top rests on a conforming apron of crotch mahogany (there are a few small chips to the veneer on the apron nothing major in my opinion but there) with applied scroll trim on the apron edge. The table is raised up on four cabriole styled legs with acanthus carvings at the knees ,a fine, intricately carved X type stretcher with a substantial turned finial at the center and brass casters on all four feet.

   This early Victorian Marble Top  Center Parlor Table circa 1860 is fine quality, structurally solid and has an elegant presence all of its own!
