~Large Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut Library Table / Tutor Desk with Drawers circa 1875~ Being presented for sale is this outstanding Large Victorian Renaissance Revival Library Table / Tutor Desk with Drawers circa 1875. This fine library table tutor desk is a beautiful 19th century piece with a stately presence! This antique library table / writing desk measures 29 1/2 inches high, 48 inches wide and 29 inches deep, knee-hole height of 24 inches and this table weighs approximately 80 lbs. The turtle shaped top offers lovely vintage replacement felt that is in wonderful vintage condition and rest on a wide conforming table apron with fantastic incised carvings on each end and the front and back sides each offer a working drawer and one false drawer ..these are opposite of each other. The locks are intact but the key provide just assists in opening the drawers. Each of the drawers have the same incised carvings that are present on the sides and early period hand-cut dove-tailed ends. This table is raised up on four fluted legs with incised carvings accenting the top of each leg,a fluted carved H type stretcher and a substantial turned three tiered finial at the center with carved rosettes on each end and the casters intact on all four feet. A stunning Library Table / Desk that is solid and sturdy and would make a great addition to your home as a computer table, library desk or even a pretty center table....for it's equally beautiful on all sides!
