Being offered for sale this charming Victorian Walnut & Poplar Child's / Youth Toddler Size Bed circa 1880's. The head of the bed boasts of an arched head-board with a egg shaped carved crest,dropped carved accents on each side, with the rails having ring turned spindles and turned finials accent each corner post. This 19th century youth bed measures a total height at the head-board of 44 1/2 inches, height of the side rails to the floor measures 33 1/2 inches,the outside measurements of the bed are 27 inches wide by 50 3/4 inches long, and the distance from the side rails to the slats is 17 3/4 inches,the distance between the spindles on each side is 4 inches and this bed weighs approximately 35 lbs. This Victorian youth toddler bed offers its original casters on all four feet and one side has latches to allow the side to fold down .A sweet Victorian Youth / Toddler Crib /Bed that is solid and sturdy and has a charming presence and would be wonderful way to display an antique doll collection .
