If you have been in search for a gorgeous Victorian Walnut High Back Bed you will positively love all the splendid details this fancy Victorian bed circa 1865 has to offer. A beautiful highly detailed carved center crest with a Cherub Face at the center, fancy carved head-board supports, wonderful applied carvings of fruit and scrolls and oval recessed panels of walnut combine to make this a truly gorgeous bed! This lovely 19th century bed measures a total height at the head-board of 87 3/4 inches ( 7 ft 3 3/4 in), height of the foot-board measures 35 1/2 inches,the height to the flat portion of the side rails measure 16 1/2 inches.The outside measurements of the bed are 66 1/2 inches wide by 81 1/2 inches long and the inside mattress area measures 61 1/2 inches wide by 75 inches long and should accommodate a full size mattress set nicely but one should always measure their mattress set to assure proper fit. The total weight of this bed is approximately 135 lbs. This fancy high back bed has a wow! presence and the carving details are just beautiful! This Victorian Carved Walnut High Back Bed circa 1865 is solid and very sturdy and has a elegant and charming presence one expects from furniture of the Victorian era. This is a truly beautiful bed that has no major issues we can find and I have shown close-up pictures of the age and character marks that are present just to point out that this bed as with all antiques are not perfect but have time worn marks of character and usage they have acquired over they past 100 plus years.
