Being offered for sale is this fine Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut & Burl Walnut Dining Table with 3 leaves circa 1875. This lovely 19th century table extends out to 10 ft 4 inches and could accommodate several more leaves but only three original leaves come with the table. All the original bras casters on intact on the feet, base and center leg and this table has a solid walnut top, raised panels of burl walnut accenting the apron and a splendid carved base which also has raised burl panels and carved scrolls accenting each leg.
This table measures 30 inches in height from the floor to the top,with a height from the bottom of the table apron to the floor of 25 1/2 inches. Without any leaves the table measures 48 inches across, with 1 leaf in place 48 " by 60", with 2 leaves in place 48" by 72 inches, with all 3 leaves in place 48 " by 84 ", and this table weighs approximately 150 lbs total.
This Victorian Dining table has a beautiful presence and is solid and tight. There is an area on the edge of the table about 2 inches long that looks like it has had a repair at some point in time, and one foot does show wear on one side. I have shown close up pictures of both of these areas...nothing major in my opinion for a antique table over 135 years old but wanted to point these out. Also one of the leaves has had an old repair to the joint in the wood or I guess you can say the original joint has been re-glued at some time...done very nicely and is tight and secure.
