~Fabulous American Empire Flamed Mahogany Marble Top Center / Game Table Circa 1840~ Being presented for sale is this fabulous Large American Empire Flamed Mahogany Marble Top Center / Game Table circa 1840. This fine period table measures 29 inches in height, 34 1/2 inches wide by 34 1/2 inches deep and weighs approximately 95 lbs. The flamed mahogany and period details on this table are just splendid. This period table offers its original beveled edge white and grey veined shaped marble top that's in fine antique condition with appropriate age and character marks as common with old marble,after all this table is approximately 170 years old. There are a couple of rim chips on the underside edge of the marble where it rests on the base...see close-up pictures. The marble rests on a conforming flamed mahogany table apron and is raised up on a substantial flamed tapered pedestal and rests on a shaped platform with four out-swept carved legs and brass casters intact on all four feet. This large American Empire Flamed Mahogany marble top Parlor Center Table circa 1840 table has a stately presence and would be a wonderful addition to any room of your home and especially beautiful in a foyer or entrance way.
