I am pleased to offer for sale this Spectacular Large Walnut Firescreen with Full Columns and Acanthus leaf carvings circa 1920's. We believe this beauty to have its original finish and offers exquisite design and details. This measures a total height from the floor to the highest point of the finials at the top of 43 inches, a total width of 48 inches and the thickness at the top of the firescreen measures 1 3/4 inches, depth from front to back of the feet at the base measures 11 inches and this firescreen weighs approximately 20 lbs. The firescreen offers a triple arch design at the top accented with 3 turned walnut finials, the center panel is all walnut and flanked with full columns with acanthus carvings at the base and rests on trestle type feet. Both sides are the same and can be displayed either way. There is an old repair to the base molding (see close-up picture) that seems solid and very secure and does not distract from the integrity of this piece at all and only noticeable upon close inspection.This large walnut firescreen circa 1920's has a wonderful presence all of its own and would be a great addition to your home.
