Description: It is an authentic antique engraved print over 200 years old. It is from George Shaw's General Zoology or Systematic natural History, (London: Printed for G. Kearsley, 1802). George Shaw originally began his career as a Medical Doctor, but primarily devoted his life to the study of natural history serving as an Assistant Lecturer at Oxford and keeper of the Natural History Department of the British Museum. The print is being sold as a single sheet, not matted nor framed.
Size: The entire page measures approximately 5 by 8 1/2 inches with the image centered on the page as seen in the pic.
Condition: The print is in Good condition for its age, blank on the reverse, basically as seen in the pic. There is a stain at the bottom as seen and some specks in the fiber of the paper, otherwise the image is fairly clean and would frame up nicely, see the pic for more on condition. The pics are of the actual print.
