Description: It is an original antique copper engraved print with plate marks embossed around the margins. It is from L'Abbe Barthelemy's Voyage du Jeune Anacharsis en Grece, published in Paris by Chez Etienne Ledoux, 1822. A copy of the title page is included. The map was engraved by Ambroise Tardieu, whose name appears in the bottom left margin. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, A Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The print image measures approximately 5 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches on a 8 by 10 1/2" page as seen in the first pic with a margin all around.
Condition: The print is in Very Good condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing. There is a mark from the printing in the upper right corner and a couple of minor specks in the margin, otherwise it is very clean, blank on the reverse, printed on heavy paper and would frame up nicely.
