Description: The listing is for two original antique engraved print over 150 years old. It is from Herrmann Meyer's Universum America Views and Cities (New York, 1850). Meyer's name is in the bottom margin. Overall, a nice pair of prints, uncolored as issued, of the early days of Mississippi River with steamboats, Flatboat barges and Indians in a Canoe.
Size: Each of the images measure approximately 4 by 6 inches on pages measuring 9 by 11"with large margins all around as seen in the pic.
Condition: The print is in Very Good or bettercondition for its age, blank on the reverse, basically as seen in the pic. There are a couple of minor brown spots that are more obvious in the pics than on the actual prints and a couple of very light smudges in the margin, otherwise they are very clean with strong impressions that would frame up very well, see the pic for more on condition. The pics are of the actual print.
