Description: It is an original antique woodcut with handcoloring from Jonathan Couch A History of the Fishes of the British Islands (London, 1877). The print is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. It is a very nice impression with original hand color on a bright clean page. Overall, a beautiful print that will frame up nicely!
Size: The fish measures 7 inches in length on a page measuring approximately 6 1/2 by 10 inches as seen in the pic.
Condition: The print is in Very Good condition for its age with a slight darkening around the edges and very light tonal ageing. It is a wood block or wood cut print with original hand coloring of the period. It is printed on quality paper with exceptionally preserved color on a very clean and will frame up nicely. The pics are of the actual item and very accurate of the actual condition.
