Description: It is an Original Antique Map: Not a Reproduction!" A classic Warner and Beers map with the decorative border. The map is from their "Combination Illinois and United States Atlas," published in Chicago, 1872. It is a steel plate engraved map with original vibrant handcoloring. Shown are Railroads, post offices, county seats, highways, townships. Scale is a quarter inch to the mile. Also shown are Moultrie County and the towns of Decatur, Shelbyville, Sullivan, Taylorville, Pana and others.
Size: The map image measures approximately 13 by 16 inches on a 15 by 18" page with a margin all around for matting as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Good condition with overall tonal ageing and some darkening around the edges. There is some edgewear with a few nicks, short tears and bent corners as seen, otherwise the map image is very clean. It is printed on a heavy pliable paper, blank on the reverse with original handcoloroing. The pics are of the actual map and accurate of the condition.
