Description: It is an Original Antique Map: Not a Reproduction!" It is a steel plate engraved map and nice decorative border. It is from Warner and Beers's Atlas of the State of Illinois (Chicago: Warner & Beers, 1876). A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the pics. It is a double sided sheet with a map on each side, so you will have to choose which side to frame. It is printed on a bright heavy page so there is no bleeding through. It has original hand applied color probably by stenciling. There is an embossed stamp in the upper corner margin from the office of Arthur Grow, Illinois Land Surveyor, that is barely visible. The maps show incredible details from towns, churches, schools, houses with owner listed and other details. Overall, a Beautiful Map with Superb Color!
Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 15 1/2 inches on a 14 by 17 1/2" page with a margin all around for matting.
Condition: Both sides are in Very Good to Excellent condition with overall very light tonal aging, otherwise it is very clean with no defects to mention as seen in the pic. Pics are of the actual map and pretty much show all. We do try to match the actual color and quality.
