Description: It is an original copper engraved antique map by Jacobus Harrewijn (1660-1727) issued in Brussels, 1720. Harrewijn was from a family of Dutch mapmakers and engravers and was most famous for his plans of fortified town and military sieges. His name "J. Harrewijn fecit" appears in the below the scene. Shown is the plan of the French town of Charle Mont or Charlemont along the Meuse River. Some nice detail for those interesting in military fortifications.
Size: The map image measures approximately 5 1/2 by 7 inches (14x18 cm) on a 6 1/4 by 9 1/2" (16 x 24 cm) page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is only in Fair condition for its age with some tears and creases along the edges and left corners, as well as some extra creasing and 2 folds. It would probably frame up good after some heat and dry mounting. It is clean in general, good impression, blank on the reverse. The pics are very accurate. Disregard the pinkish tint from the lighting, the map is actually slightly darker than shown. Priced to Sell!

Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, $4 up to $300, etc. International Registration is an additional $11 if desired. We reserve the right to require insurance on orders of high value. Insurance is already included in Priority International Airmail. Insurance is encouraged: without it we will not be responsible once item is shipped and do retain reciept of postal acceptance.
