Description: It is an original copper engraved antique map by Jacobus Harrewijn (1660-1727) issued in Brussels, 1720. Harrewijn was from a family of Dutch mapmakers and engravers and was most famous for his plans of fortified town and military sieges. His name "J. Harrewyn fecit" appears in the bottom left corner near the title vignette. Some nice detail for those interesting in military fortifications.
Size: The map image measures approximately 5 1/2 by 7 inches (14x18 cm) on a 6 1/4 by 10" (16 x 26 cm) page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Good condition for its age with very light overall tonal ageing and two vertical folds as issued. Other than a couple of light spots in the margin and a slight creasing at the bottom of one fold, it is very clean, good impression, blank on the reverse. The pics are very accurate. Disregard the pinkish tint from the lighting.
