Description: It is an original copper engraved antique map by Jacobus Harrewijn (1660-1727) issued in Brussels, 1720. Harrewijn was from a family of Dutch mapmakers and engravers and was most famous for his plans of fortified town and military sieges. His name "J. Harrewyn fecit" appears in the bottom left corner near the title vignette. Some nice detail, Romanesque architecture that was destroyed during the French Revolution.
Size: The map image measures approximately 5 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches (14x19 cm) on a 6 1/4 by 10" (16 x 26 cm) page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The print is in Good condition for its age with very light overall tonal ageing and three vertical folds as issued. There is some edge wear, one nick and light crease at the bottom of one of the folds , otherwise it is very clean, strong impression, blank on the reverse. The pics are very accurate.
