Description: It is an original copper engraved antique map in great shape with original handcoloring. It is by Jacobus Harrewijn published in Dr. Francisco Afferden's Atlas Abreviado o Compeiosa Geographia del Mundo Antiguo y Nuevo, published in Amberes (now Antwerp), Belgium: Henrico Verdussen, 1725. It is a Dutch map in a Spanish publication printed in Antwerp, which was under Spanish Control until the War of Spanish Succession in 1715. The maps were probably designed slightly earlier, I have seen dates as early as 1695 attributed to them, but our title has a publication date of 1725. A copy of the title page with the date and publishing information is included for authenticity. These are really Great looking maps for their age, they don't get much better.
Size: The map image measures approximately 6 by 7 1/4 inches on a 7 by 8 1/4" page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Very Good to Excellent condition with overall light tonal ageing and two vertical folds as issued. It has vibrant original handcoloring as issued, printed on a heavy page, blank on the reverse. The map is very clean with no defects to mention. The pics are very accurate.
