Description: It is an original antique map after John Ogilby by Thomas Kitchin from his Kitchin's Post-Chaise Companion Through England and Wales, London: Bowles & Sons, 1767. It is the traditional strip road map of the period showing the route from London to Derby, acutally Stratford through Northampton and Leicester to Derby. On the reverse side is a similar map showing the road London to Edinburgh, actually Berwich through Dunbar and Hadington to Edinburgh. It is being sold as issued in original black and white, most have been colored in modern times. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, A Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 6 by 8 inches on a 7 by 9" page as seen in the pic with a margin all around.
Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age with overall tonal aging. It is a dark impression, printed on heavy quality cotton paper. There is light browning in the left margin, otherwise the map is very clean with no obvious defects to mention. It should frame up nicely with an antique appearance. The pics are of the actual map.

No additional postage on multiple maps shipped together with the first, so we will ship as many maps as you want for one $5 or $7 shipping Fee depending on the largest map. Shipping to Italy: An additional $10.80 Registration Fee plus shipping are required for all items shipped to Italy.
Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, etc; For international buyers who desire insurance, the Priority International mail is the best option since Insurance is included. Optional International Registration is an additional $11. We highly recommend insurance and will not be responsible once item is shipped, postal receipt will be retained for record of shipping.
