Description: It is an original engraved antique map with the plate mark indentions clearly shown in the margins. It is designed by John Pinkerton and was published in Geographie Moderne, published in Paris, Ano XII (1804). Both the Napoleon Era date of Ano XII and 1804 are on the title page. It is from a French edition of the Atlas during the Napoleonic era. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. This is a very rare early map by the Scottish cartographer from Edinburgh. Pinkerton maps are highly collectible and are quite rare to find.
Size: The map image measures approximately 8 by 10 inches on a 9 1/2 by 13" page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Very Good condition. It is printed on a quality high cotton linen paper, blank on the reverse, bluish in tint. Other than a very light smudge in the corner, the map is very clean with no defects to mention. See the pics for a view of the entire map and several details so you can get a good idea of the quality of the actual map.

Elsewhere in the world add $7 for International First Class, usually 7-10 days depending on country and customs. Please note these rates are very close to actual postage rates. No additional postage on multiple maps shipped together with the first, we are glad to ship as many maps as you want for the cost of shipping the largest map. Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, $4 up to $300, etc. International registration with insurance is an additional $8.00. Insurance is encouraged: without it we will not be responsible once item is shipped.
