Description: It is an original antique copper engraved map with plate marks embossed around the margins. It is from L'Abbe Barthelemy's Voyage du Jeune Anacharsis en Grece, published in Paris by Chez Etienne Ledoux, 1822. A copy of the title page is included. The map is designed and engraved by Ambroise Tardieu, whose name appears on the map. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, A Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 5 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches on a 8 by 10 1/2" page as seen in the first pic with a margin all around.
Condition: The map is in Good condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing. There are some light spots and slight darkening around the edges, otherwise the map is clean, blank on the reverse, printed on heavy paper and will frame up nicely. See the pics for more details.

Shipments over $35 to Italy, Africa, Asia and South America require an additional $10.80 for registration as well as large orders of high value elsewhere in the world based on location and our descretion. International Shipments are subject to Customs, which can in some countries delay arrival by over a month in extreme cases. International buyers are responsible for knowing thier country's custom regulations and may be subject to additional custom fees to be paid upon arrival. The good news is that in many countries printed matter such as books, maps and prints are duty free or taxed at a low rate, you should check with your local authorities for more details since it does vary by country.
Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $1.70 for up to $100 of value, $2.45 for up to $200, etc, all based on USPS rates; International Registration is an additional $10.80. International buyers please note, registration is being offered and recommended, without it we will not be responsible once item is shipped, by purchasing this item you agree to these terms.
