Description: It is an original copper engraved antique map with embossed plate marks and handcoloring as issued published by Lizars, Edinburgh as stated in the bottm center margin, circa 1827. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. A very rare map by Lizars of this specific region of Germany. Overall, A Very Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 16 by 20 inches on a 19 by 21 1/2" page as seen in the pic. A nice wide inch or more margin all around for matting.
Condition: The map is in near Excellent condition with only a slight browning in the top margin. It is a dark impression with bright vibrant hand coloring as issue on heavy quality paper, blank on the reverse with a centerfold as issued. The color is superb and very accurately represented in the pic. They don't get much better!
