Description: It is an original engraved antique historical map with original handcoloring designed by Karl von Spruner with vibrant handcoloring as issued. It is from an 1854 edition of Spruner's Historisch Geographischer Atlas, (Gotha: Justus Perthes, 1854). It is from an enlarged edition with no centerfold. It is a map of Ancient Gaul with insets of Champagne and Pagus Parisiacus or Ancient Paris. Overall, a Beautiful Map that will Frame up Well!
Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 16 inches on a 14 by 17" page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Good ot Very Good condition with some darkening and light staining around the edges and a couple of lightly bumped corners, a slight damp stain in the bottom left corner. Otherwise the map image is very clean, a strong impression with vibrant original color, blank on the reverse side and should frame up nicely. See the pics for more details of condition.

Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, etc; For international buyers who desire insurance, the Priority International mail is the best option since Insurance is included or International Registration for $11. Insurance is recommended and we will not be responsible once item is shipped and we reserve the option to require insurance for high value shipments.
