Description: It is an original engraved antique map in great shape with hand coloring and decorative border with a centerfold as issued. It is from a 1862 Edition of Johnson's Family Atlas. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity, which has all the publishing and award details. An interesting map showing Patagonia as a separate entity, Bolivia with a seaport and border almost to the Amazon, Columbia as New Granada and other border anomalies. Also shown are exploration routes: Columbus, Cook, Vancouver, Colnet, Carteret, Wallis, Byron, Anson, etc. Being sold as a single sheet, not mounted, matted nor framed. Overall, a Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 17 by 23 inches on a 18 by 26 1/2" page with a margin of a half inch or more all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Good or better condition with overall tonal aging and hand coloring. There is some darkening around the edges and light back printing as seen in the pics. The pics are of the actual map.

Shipping: $4.95 for Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation in the USA or First Class International to Canada. International buyers add $8 for International Airmail elsewhere in the World or $23 for Priority International, which includes Paypal insurance. Express shipments at actual postal rates upon request. We use USPS priority due to the security and speedy delivery. Our shipping is based on actual postal rates, which does not include the cost of our packaging materials. We ship daily, so if still bidding send us a quick email to hold or better just pay all at once at the end.
Shipping to Italy: Do to ongoing problems with the Italian Post, an additional $10.80 for Registration plus the cost of shipping is now required for all shipments to Italy. If you don't want to pay for the registration, please do not bid, although we are glad to combine maps into one shipment to save costs. Shipments of high value may be subject to Insured Express Mail, approximately $30.
Save on Shipping: We only charge one shipping fee based on the largest map or print with multiple items shipped along with it for no extra costs. Purchase 5 or more maps or prints and receive Free Priority shipping in USA or First Class International or Reduced Priority International.
Insurance rates: For the USA we recommended and offer optional low insurance of $1.70 for up $50, $2.15 up to $100 and $2.60 up to $200, etc... International registration is an additional $10.80 and may be required for items of high value. Insurance is encouraged: without it we will not be responsible once item is shipped. Most USA and International Priority shipments are now covered byPaypal, so check your Paypal terms for more information.
International Customs Fees: It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay all Customs Taxes, VAT or other fees that may be due upon arrival. Please consult your country's Customs Regulations for more details on your country. Delays by Customs: Although most items arrive at their destination very quickly, we have no control over how long it takes an item to move through Customs, which can be held for up to six weeks.
