Description: It is an authentic antique Civil War era map with hand coloring and the desireable carnation border. It is from Mitchell's New General Atlas published by S. Augustus Mitchell in Philadelphia, 1863. The map also has a copyright date of 1860 in the bottom margin of the map. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, a very beautiful map that would frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 10 1/2 by 13 1/2 inches on a 12 by 15" page and a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Very Good or better condition with overall light tonal aging. There is some minor spots around the margins, otherwise the map is very clean with vibrant original color as issued with a nice antique appearance. We have provided plenty of pics are of the actual map that are very accurate of color and condition.
