Description: The listing is for two separate antique maps of North and South Scotland as seen in the pic. They are steel plate engraved maps with original handcoloring and centerfolds as issued. They are from Alex Keith Johnston's Handy Royal Atlas of Modern Geography (Edinburgh: Blackwood & Sons, 1868).  Johnston's maps are some of the most detailed and accurate English maps of the period.  Johnston's name appears in the title blocks and the publisher Blackwood in the bottom margin. A copy of the title page is included with the map for authenticity. 

Size: The map image measures approximately 12 1/2 by 16 1/2 inches on a 14 by 18" page with a margin of  all around for framing.

Condition: The maps are in Good condition with original handcoloring, a centerfold as issued, blank on the reverse, printed on heavy paper. There are slight half inch splits at the bottom of the centerfold, some light edge wear, a few light spots, otherwise clean in general and would frame up nicely. See the pics for a better idea of condition. The pics are of the actual maps.
