Description: It is an original antique map approximately 130 years old with original hand coloring and a centerfold as issued. It is from an1879 edition of Adolf Stieler's Schul-Atlas Uber alle Theile der Erde published in Gotha by Justus Perthes. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The publisher is shown on the map in the bottom margin and the name of the atlas is in the upper right corner. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. These are the smaller maps from the school atlas, we also have some of the larger Stieler maps from the Hand Atlas in other listings.
Size: The map image measures approximately 8 by 11 inches on a 12 by 9 1/4" page as seen in the pic with a margin all around for framing as seen in the main pic.
Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition with overall tonal aging, basically as seen in the pics, blank on the reverse with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. Other than one light mark near the Bahamas as seen in the pics and a couple of other very minor smudges in the margin, hardly noticeable and a slight bend on the upper left corner, it is very clean and would frame up well. Pics are of the actual map.
