Description: It is an original set of two antique map approximately 130 years old with original hand coloring and a centerfold as issued. They are from an1879 edition of Adolf Stieler's Schul-Atlas Uber alle Theile der Erde published in Gotha by Justus Perthes. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The publisher is shown on the maps in the bottom margin and the name of the atlas is in the upper right corner. The maps are not mounted nor matted, being sold as 2 single separate sheets as seen in the pics. These are the smaller maps from the school atlas, we also have some of the larger Stieler maps from the Hand Atlas in other listings.
Size: The map images measure approximately 8 by 11 inches on 12 by 9 1/4" pages as seen in the pic with a margin all around for framing as seen in the main pic.
Condition: The maps are in Good condition with overall tonal aging, basically as seen in the pics, blank on the reverse with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. There is some minor browning and a couple of random spots as can be seen in the pics, otherwise fairly clean with a nice antique appearance that would frame up well. Pics are of the actual maps.
