Description: It is an original engraved antique map designed by Duyotenay and engraved by Dyonnet. It is from Thiers Atlas por Histoire de la Revolution Francaise (Paris: Furne, 1880). The map itself is well documented on the map: the title of the atlas title appears in the upper left margin, the title in the top center, the plate number in the upper right, the designer's name in the bottom left, the publisher in bottom center and the engraver in the bottom right. A copy of the title page with the date is also included for authenticity. This series of maps were designed to illustrate the terrain of the battles of the French Revolution. They are very detailed in terms of the topography and are generally focused around a particular region, battlefield or campaign, although military positions are generally not shown. They are not matted nor mounted, sold as an individual sheet. It is published without a centerfold.
Size: The map image measures approximately 8 by 11 3/4 inches on a 10 1/2 by 17" page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Good condition, a nice dark impression printed on a bright clean page, blank on the reverse side. There is some light browning aminly in the margins and a couple of short tears in the top margin. The pics are of the actual map you are bidding.

Shipping: $5 for USA (Priority with Delivery Confirmation) or Canada (First Class Air). Elsewhere in the world add $7 for International First Class, usually 7-10 days depending on country and customs. International Priority is $20 which includes insurance. Please note these rates are very close to actual postage rates. No additional postage on multiple maps shipped together with the first, we are glad to ship as many maps as you want for the cost of shipping the largest map. Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, $4 up to $300, etc. International registration with insurance is an additional $11.00. Insurance is encouraged: without it we will not be responsible once item is shipped.
