The spray solution is extremely safe. Its an ozone friendly propellant (R134a) and THE NON-Citronella is comprised of no more than an air spray! Used in many medical inhalation products, NON-Citronella spray is harmless and non toxic to pets and people. The collar gives off  very low levels of spray. If you prefer, a Citronella spray is available.

There will be no discomfort to the eyes. The collar, being worn on the neck, is directed at the snout. This makes it a safe distance from your dog's eyes since the spray dissipates very quickly.
