- Total length : 55 cm
Galalith, a milk protein plastic, was produced in a rainbow of brilliant colors and marbling patterns. It was used in France and Germany from the 1920's to the 1940's. Once synthetic plastics were invented the production of Galalith ceased; Galalith, which is milk-based, as opposed to chemically based, is actually heavier than bakelite and has a much more polished finish.
