Art-Tech P-51 Mustang 2.4ghz 4 Channel EPO WWII Fighter RTFOhhh, yeah. "CADILLAC OF THE SKY! CADILLAC OF THE SKY!!" Remember that movie? How about the end of "Saving Private Ryan"? Who comes to the rescue? The P-51 Mustang, that's who! Want to fly one?
To start with, you will LOVE the way this beauty looks just sitting on the tarmac - they got all the lines and proportions to a "T", right down to the big 4 bladed
"paddle" prop. And the beauty doesn't stop there - put it up in the air, and you'll see what I mean. This plane is a pussycat and a beast rolled up into a nice little package,
flies like it was BORN to fly, and does it all for 8 plus minutes on a1300MAh 3s 20c LiPo battery! And with the Crashproofing kit, makes
this plane last through some war- level punishment.
What is Crashproofing, you ask?
Imagine this scenario-
You're twisting and turning at full throttle right on the deck. Then - OOPS! - the grass grabs your wingtip...and you cartwheel in at 40 MPH. After your pals stop laughing, you go pick up all the pieces and take them home to decide: garbage or weekend project?
Been there, right? Now imagine THIS scenario:
You're twisting and turning at full throttle right on the deck. Then - OOPS! - the grass grabs your wingtip...and you cartwheel in at 40 MPH.
Your pals stop laughing when you go pick up your P51 Mustang, launch it again, and keep flying. You pinch yourself. You're not dreaming.
I don't have to ask which you'd prefer, do I?
My gut tells me that you're into RC flying because you like to fly, not because you like to repair planes.
Crashproofing is the PROVEN way to keep you flying. As we like to say, Crashproofing keeps your plane ON the flight line and OFF the workbench. The addition of Carbon Fiber Reinforcement makes ALL types of plane foam 10 to 40 times stronger!!
Meaning, if a piece of foam supports a one pound weight before the Carbon Fiber, it will support a 10 pound weight after, and with a couple of thin,
light rods you can get that up to 40 pounds and MORE!
In essence, Crashproofing works by distributing the force of a crash across the whole airframe. Normally, if you crash on the nose,
all the force is applied to the nose where it hits the ground, and it will crumple, crush and break. If you hit hard enough, other areas of the fuselage,
wings and joints will break, too, leaving you with a pile of garbage. With Crashproofing, that force is now distributed along the entire
length of the fuselage- comparatively speaking, there's VERY little damage to the nose, and very often, none at all to the rest of the plane.
You'll know if Crashproofing works as soon as you answer this question, yes or no: is Carbon Fiber stronger than Styrofoam? If you don't know, try this simple experiment:
bend a 1/8" thick piece of foam. Now bend a 1/8" Carbon Fiber Rod. Hmmmm....there's a slight difference, isn't there?
The Crashproofing Kit in the P51 Mustang contains between 14 and 28 rods. With your new stronger airframe, you'll be able to do RADICAL aerobatics with no worries, and you'll be able to weather a UGR (Unplanned Ground Rendesvous) with aplomb!
We are not saying the plane is 100% undestroyable, but it is pretty dang close to it. It is tested and proven that is works. Now, be the first among
your flying buddies to have what they have always thought of doing themselves.
The P-51 Mustang was the mount of Chuck Yeager, one of the most famous stick and rudder men of all time - and now it's your turn to yank this baby around!
If you like this Mustang, you'll love to graduate up to one of our bigger ones after you log some flight time - so get one of these in the air, and start your
Mustang Pilot career today! The assembly only takes about 30 minutes, so plug in the battery and open the toolbox! (Actually, it comes with all the tools you need).
The RTF Art-Tech Mustang comes with the plane, 4 channel 2.4 GHz transmitter and receiver (ailerons, elevator, throttle, rudder), the Art-Tech LiPo charger, a 1300 mAh 3c 20s LiPo battery, an extra prop, and the tools and glue and all the hardware.
