Vintage (maybe antique)? embossed leather over wood box. There is some wear on corners/side. This is has fabulous detail on the lid, of a roman scene of musicians, I counted 19 faces, 11 full bodies.

The detailing on this is extremely fine.3 adults with drums, 4 adults with harps , 6 children and 7 background heads. Floral and leaf scrolling pattern on all 4 sides.

The inside is in pristine condition,(perhaps this was added later?)

I am unsure as to what this box was and is intended for.Playing cards perhaps, love notes, paper memorabilia, I do suppose you could use this for whatever you wanted to.

size: 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 3 1/4".  Each section inside is 7/8" wide.
