A Lovely Rich Deep velvetty Blue sapphire that the New England,NSW,Australian sapphire fields are renowned for.This stone is from the Fraser creek area near Inverell,N.S.W.I cut it as a round brilliant cut with an extra 16 facets on the pavillion(bottom) of the stone especially for this deep colour.The stone has a firey brilliance of colour reflected from deep within the stone.Excellent night stone under lights.A classic Royal Blue.The stone is eyeclean and has a very,very small veil like inclusion under a star facet on the crown(crown)of the stone which can be seen by a 10x loupe.
