An unusual light green sapphire from Rubyvale,QLD,Australia.It is cut as a freform pendant shaped cabachon.The stone has a bright bronze sheen across one half of the stone and moves brightly with the light.Sometimes one or two arms of a star can be seen.The sheen is present because in the stones formation in this case very fine fibres of metallic oxides lined up along the crystal axes of the stone.The stone is transparent and has a couple of very small veil like inclusions.The stone is was cut and polished with highgrade diamond.
