Ugly Kid Joe may have been one album hit wonders but the fact still
remains this is a sensational album. Everything About You was a huge
hit and a much needed song in the face of all the soppy love songs
around. Neighbor although incorrectly spelt is a great song, in fact
all the songs on this album are great there are no fillers. Of course
the other big song from this album was Cats In the Cradle a much better
version than Cat Stevens' one. Mr. Recordman although not released to
my knowledge, was played a bit and became a bit of a cult hit anyway. I
also particularly like Madman.
Don't punish this album by not buying
it because Ugly Kid Joe promised so much and created their terrible
second album about Milkman's sons and other stuff. It's not the album's
fault who it's parents are. This is a sensational no filler album and
one you should add to your collection. Lyrics are also included.

Ugly Kid Joe Biography
Ugly Kid Joe (whose name is a response to Pretty Boy Floyd) formed in
Isla Vista, California, and features vocalist Whitfield Crane,
guitarists Klaus Eichstadt and Dave Fortman (who replaced Roger Lahr),
bassist Cordell Crockett, and drummer Mark Davis. The group played basic
pop-metal with touches of funk and a bratty, parodic sense of humor.
Their debut single, "Everything About You," went Top Ten and helped
their mini-album As Ugly as They Wanna Be become the first short-form LP
ever to be certified multi-platinum. They went Top Ten again with a
straightforward cover of Harry Chapin's "Cats In the Cradle" in 1993.
The band released their second full-length album, Menace to Sobriety, in
1995; Motel California appeared the next year.
