This is Mavis an extremely active haunted antique doll from the Willard asylum in upstate NY....She is one of the many dolls and artifacts given to me by a friend and former employee of the asylum....Mavis was a resident of Willard for many years deing diagnosed with multiple personality disorder in the 1920's...She lived at the asylum until her death in the 1950's when she died from an unidenified illness...Her spirit is housed within this doll that was hers in life....She is very willfull and frightening and quite noisy with a creepy laugh and muffled gravely voice...She has been known to cause nightmares about her years at the alylum and the less thank standard care that she recieved there...She knocks on walls and walks heavily on the stairs at times...She manifests as a dark shadow and if you are easily afraid then she is not for you...This doll should be placed with an experienced paranormal collector who understands behavior of this nature....She is not a toy or a joke and not to be taken lightly...DO NOT GIVE HER TO A CHILD TO PLAY WITH!!!!She can be extremely frightening and spiteful...Understand what you are getting into before bidding or buying Mavis as I will not take her back...Her host doll has a composition head with bow loop and her body is cloth with what I think is straw stuffing and she is jointed....Her host is in remarkable great condition for being so old and has no rips or ordors and no crazing to the compo....Feel free to ask questions and if you are the winner of this doll please keep in touch and let me know how this troubled soul is doing...Thanks for looking...
