This Is Braden The spirit of a six year old boy....It brings tears to my eyes to remember and relive this time in my life...For 10 years before a back injury I was an LPN on a pediatrics floor at my hometown hospital and it was there that I cared for Braden until he took his last breath in my arms....Little Braden was a frequent flyer due to having sickle cell anemia which finally took his young life...I normally worked the night shift and when things were slow I would sit with him and read him stories...His mother was very young and more interested in boyfriends and having fun than she was in her son....I purchased this Boyds Bear at the hospital lobby shop for Braden and gave it to him to keep him company when I could not be there...When I gave it to him his little face lit up with a huge smile and the bear became his constant companion....He was in and out of the hospital 19 times in two years before he passed away peacefully one morning as I held him...I am crying now having to think back on this time in 2004 as I was very attached to this corageous little boy...When He was taken to the funeral home this bear was given to me by the nurse mgr.to remember him by and I have kept it all these years as Bradens tiny spirit lives on in this little bear...He sends me dream messages that he is in a better place now and not to cry for him but still he remains within the bear searching for a mothers love that he had so longed for in life...I feel that it is time to pass him on to someone who can help him cross over and be in peace as I do not have the heart to let him go...If You can find it in your heart to help this little boy then please take him into your home and help him be at peace at last...Please feel free to ask questions and thank you for looking..May god Bless...
