His son, David Burpee, took over the company upon his father's death. He was interested in War or victory gardens and was an early promoter of the concept during the Great War. He also brought his interest in flowers to the forefront of the companies priorities and initiated several flower breeding programs. This CD contains three (4) Burpee's catalogs, the 1915 - 186 pages, 1924 - 192 pages, 1925 - 192 pages and the 1927 - 181 page edition, a total of over 560 pages of seed and flower information and illustrations, including dozens of FULL COLOR photos.
