Detailed

Description

These types of windows or doors protected the opening into each family's grain storage building. They were held in place by a simple sliding door lock (missing in this piece). The door tells a story of the owners by depicting Primordial beings, ancestors, sun lizards, and other scenes of life which served to protect the entrance. The 2 breasts represent the blacksmith who makes the agricultural tools to cultivate the land and produce food to nurture the people.
