This 11" x 14" Serigraph of Malcolm Furlow's painting entitled "Have Chair in Diner" is number 51 of 100 produced and originally sold for $500.

It has a 3" to 4" white border and has never been displayed.

Malcolm Furlow has rapidly risen to prominence as a painter of the American Southwest. Featured in such notable publications as SMITHSONIAN and ART OF THE WEST, his works hang in some of the most prestigious collections in the country.

In 1989 his paintings were selected to travel to Beijing, China with Pres. George Bush where 500 posters were given out to Chinese digitaries.

In 1990 he won the Leprix Du Jury Award from Luxemburg Museum in Paris.

In 1991 an exhibition of his work was held in Sorborne in Paris.

His work is in the Southern Methodist University permanent collection.

His bold expressionistic style and vibrant use of color carry the viewer into an intense visual event.  He confronts his subjects with an approach ranging from the straightforward to the slightly satirical.  When asked for one comment on the explosive, colorful images for which he is known, the artist posits "a metaphor for the human condition".

This serigraph is an exciting example of his work.

I have many of his originals but have to scale down so look for those to be listed as well.
