The author, a member of the Royal Geographic Society, was surveying railroad routes when WWI broke out & he was stranded in the Malaysian jungle between 1913-1919. These are his adventures mainly with the local tribes of attractive woman & poison dart-blowpipe wielding men, poison snakes that jump into boats, etc.etc.
