I use Endicia for all mailings. Your packages are treated as metered mail and you get free delivery confirmation.

I have never had a problem with Endicia, their customer support has been wonderful when I did need it.

I have been using them since around August or September. I do 40-75 packages a week.

Yes, their customer service is the best you will ever find anywhere!

They do need to improve the refund process. They give you only 10 days but then they take 3 MONTHS to refund it and don't even bother to tell you what they are refunding.

Occassionally, I have a package that I can not get Endicia to verify the address. Which means I can not put postage on it.

I also have at least one package each time that has insurance. Which means I still have to wait in line at the PO just to get the slip stamped.

I do fill the monthly fee is worth it. I like the postage log. I save money on the DC cost so it pays for its self and I make a little extra.

But it does cost me time. It is NOT a time saver. You have to type in every address and verify it. I do my postage in the middle of the night and at times it is very very slow. I have DSL service not a dial up connection. And little things like insurance, may still require you to wait in line at your PO.

We are working to make the refund process faster. The USPS rules are the biggest stumbling block. Endicia doesn't get refunded from the USPS for periods up to 6 months! So when we make a refund to a customer, we have to use our funds. And when you buy postage, the money goes directly into a USPS bank account, not ours. So it's not like we have any "float" to operate with. We are actively working with USPS to streamline this and just yesterday got some key approvals to do so.

A new version of DAZZle is just about ready for release. It will let you use a 5 digit ZIP if you can't match to a 9 digit ZIP. EMail me if you want the beta now. This new version also has the new signature confirmation plus a bunch of other stuff.

Regarding insurance, you might look into U-PIC. I haven't used it myself, but evidently it's USPS-approved and you don't have to go to the PO. You submit a log to U-PIC every so often which has the packages you shipped and their valuation. U-PIC bills you and they are responsible for paying you if the package is lost.

The new program version now has a column in the postage log to input valuation so that this report is easier to generate.

Not sure why you are having slowness in the evening. When things are slow, try going to a DOS Window and typing:

tracert www.envmgr.com

and Email me the result.

Best
