I don't think store items have been indexed faster than auction items. Has anybody really caught this specifically? If you list an item in an auction or a store, search will not find it until it gets indexed. Store items that show up when your auction listed 3 hours ago does not may have been listed 30 days ago.

pixiamom - Yes, I actually caught this specifically happening. Both new store listings and re-lists were being indexed before my auctions.

In particular on Tuesday night when I was checking, numerous Stores items were showing up that showed a START date of Feb. 14th (new store listing) and the time it was listed was 1/2 hour LATER than my auction listings. Several re-lists also appeared...which I understand the concept of why these would show up sooner. Technically they are already indexed.

I only listed one auction last night and it took over 8 hours for it to get indexed.

I know when I click on "newly listed view" in my store, my auctions do not appear!!! The same store items appear on the first page and yet I listed a couple of auctions this afternoon and they only appear if I click on the "auction" tab! What's up with that!? The auction items have the newly listed "sunshine" and the store items do not! People will think that I am not listing anything new!!

I just got back from a postcard club. Many members are eBay buyers. One fellow complained that although he watches eBay religiously every day, 2 items he searches for got by him last week and he lost the opportunity to bid. Others were able to find and bid on them but the seller got a lower price than he should have.

I was just checking my auction stats. Prior to the search change my listings averaged 246 views per auction. They have now dropped to an average of 164 views.

Approximately 1/2 of the auctions had the normal amount of views; the other 1/2 had 75 views or less.

We're averaging a fewer number of watchers and bidders per item too. Normally we have an average of 10.6 bids per auction - this has now dropped to 4.5.

If they all had dropped, I would give it the benefit of the doubt and blame the Olympics. However the drop in only part of the listings makes me think it is related to the search change and auctions not showing up like they should.
