I used to live in an Oil City and most of the Corporates had major offices there.
Shell Oil had a 'Shell Wives Club' for wives of employees.
I have three items with 'Shell Wives' inscibed on them and wanted to research.

I got into the Oil & Gas Collectibles and then into Shell Oil Category.
I put 'Wives' into the search and there were no listings but I was invited by Sponsored Links to contact some very questionable sites, including the words Lonely Wives and Sexy Wives.
I am no prude but I do object to this 'in my face' paid advertising. I could be under the age of 12 too ( I am not) and we wonder what is happening to our youth today!
I hope I did the tiny url ok

Am I just over-reacting? Of course the answers on this may be split by gender!

I agree. Totally inappropriate for eBay. I would notify them to clean up their act.

Oh ya! Want to see "in your face" sleaze? Do a search for "catalog" sometime....the Abercrombie and Fitch and other sex books/"catalogs" are NOT what I want to see but ebay sees nothing wrong with them ... I asked that they be put in seperate categories but got a snotty Ebay "NO".
I see nothing wrong with nudity but it should be in the Adult category.

What I am objecting to is the fact that these so called 'Sponsored links" came up in a search that a young person could have done. Kids being what they are they could have clicked on one link about 'Real Nasty Sex'. Is there anyone who would like that to happen? I don't think so!
EBay supposedly has 'Community Values'...I don't think so either, it is just the almighty dollar but we knew that anyway.

I have sent everything to EBay and will take it further if I have to. I will follow up on what happens.

Pixiamom, thank you for fixing the tinyurl, what did I miss to make it clickable?

otterop I agree 100%! Most of us are parents, or grandparent, even grandparents! I know that my kids have blocked bad sites from our grandchildren, they wouldn't expect they would need to block them from eBay. I have seen eBay's stand on a lot of items they won't allow listed, how come things like this are allowed? Yes right, the money porn brings in.

Good Morning all,
neil...thank you for the explanation.

aintrichyet...as with any page of EBay things 'rotate' and this was probably one of many pages to show in the rotation.

When you click the link I gave it clearly gives the snapshot of what I saw.

"Meet Sexy Local Housewives For Real Nasty Sex. Every Type and Fetish."

They won't let me list my vintage Sex to Sexty magazines unless I hide them in the MA category but they invite this?

okay, neglus; i see now...that's if you put 'wives club' in....... i had only put 'wives' (which is what otteropp said) when you type just 'wives', those sponsored ads don't show up.
