If the amount is large then Western Union is fast and safe. For small amounts then a WalMart or 7-11 money order are cheaper for the buyer, and just as easy to cash. This only applies to domestic USA transactions.

I would say that he meant to say "details" instead of dates.

I'm thinking your buyer is an international customer. Wasn't there some problem with bogus Western Union payments awhile ago? That being said, when BidPay was around, I got several Western Union payments with no problem. I'd e-mail him to see what info he needs from you.

Counterfeit WU money orders are a favorite with scammers. Stay far away from them.
Don't tell him more than he needs to know.
Never use WU to pay for your own auction wins. Accepting a money transfer is fine, sending one is a bad idea.

If I recall correctly, you don't need that much information. Name, address and amount is all.
I've taken them a few times. I just went to my local grocery store, showed my ID and got the cash right there on the spot. I liked it.

I guess you aren't a power seller? Paypal now covers most international shipments as well.

Don't fall for that EBAY scam.
Go ahead and accept the Western Union payment. I have found them to be the safest international payments to accept and you won't get dinged.

They were not referring to sending a W.U. money order, they want to send a Western Union payment - which you can pick up at a local location. It is fast and safe - but for me it's a pain because we only have one local place that processes them, and they are always running out of the money order paper they use to print them out.

I just deposit them in the bank just like any other check.
